The bathroom is one of the most dynamic rooms of the house. It serves several purposes, is constantly being used, and has greatly evolved over the last century. It’s also fun to decorate. Since the wash room is usually smaller than other rooms, it can be decorated and updated more often.
Other rooms in the home usually have certain motifs. Like the dining room is usually more elegant, and sophisticated. The chairs and colors are usually rich and soothing, like deep reds or browns. Then, on the opposite side of the spectrum, there are game rooms. They usually have a fun, and masculine feel to them. People often hang sports paraphernalia, have big inviting sofas and recliners, with an obviously large TV. These rooms are fun to decorate, but are usually widely expensive to finish and upgrade.
A similar pattern holds true for the bedroom, and living room as well. If you need a new bed frame or mattress, you know you’re going to be spending a lot of money to get the set you like. Even painting the bedroom can be a huge project because it’s usually one of the larger rooms in the home. The living room is much the same. A new furniture set? A new TV? You have to be prepared to shell out a lot of money to update and freshen up your living room or bedroom.
The lavatory on the other hand, is small and can easily be freshened up. For example, new bathroom showers are a great way to go. Most nowadays don’t require full remodeling of your bath area, and instantly clean up your room. You can also go with just replacing the shower enclosure with a new one to spruce up the room if you want to save money. It’s also an easy do-it-yourself job to paint most wash rooms. The area is small and a new paint job can transform a bland room into a sparkling, refreshing room. The lavatory is always unique in that it can be fun. A fun theme is always fish and water. A cute border with fish on it instantly adds some merriment to the walls.
As you can see, some rooms require major remodeling to update them, but a bathroom isn’t one of them. By investing in some quality pieces, it can really make a huge difference in the overall appearance of your home.
