Hydraulic pipe fitting

Pipeline fixtures or fitting is a significant area of attention if an individual is thinking to renovate his current house or to build a new house. There are various useful techniques and latest methods for pipe fitting that are capable of meeting all your demands and requirements.

Hydraulic pipeline fitting is the most common and famous method of pipe fitting. At present most of the individuals prefer using the hydraulic pipe fixtures for their domestic piping work. Maintenance work for these pipes is required less because they do not get rusted often.

Types of pipe fitting:

There are two main types of pipe fixtures or fitting

  • Flanged pipe fitting
  • Screwed pipe fitting

The classification of pipe fixtures or fittings can be done depending upon following few functions.

Dividing fittings:

A dividing fitting is mainly used to join all the divisions of the pipelines to the one main pipeline. These pipelines are used along with side outlets for crosses, elbows and tees.

Union or make up fitting:

These fittings can be seen with union tees and union elbows. These types of fittings involve joining both elbow and tee in a single common unit. They include all the threads in the same unit where they are required.

Enlarging or reducing fittings:

Reducing and bushing are the examples of enlarging and reducing fittings. These can join the pipes of different sizes together. These different pipelines are identified by their formation and function. Bushing pipe has both female and male thread on both sides while reducing consists of the female threads.

Directional fittings:

Directional fittings such as bends and elbows are used to change the direction of the pipes. These pipeline fittings are used to avoid overlapping of the pipes.

Extension of joining fitting:

Locknuts, offsets, joints, nipples, unions and couplings are the examples of the extension and joining fittings. With the exception of few these extensions are used for increasing the length of the pipe.

Shutoff fittings:

Shutoff fixtures are used for closing the end of the pipes. Plugs and caps are used for closing the end of the pipe because sometimes it is necessary for the proper functioning of the pipes to close the ends.

These pipe fixtures are used to make the temporary joining between the pipes. This is done to take these fixtures off easily when required. If the joints are welded, soldered or brazed then they are joined permanently and cannot come apart when required. These pipeline fixtures have various advantages.
